The majority of voters – 58.6 percent – said they don’t expect to ever retire from farm life, while 22.8 percent said they see themselves eventually retiring to farming from their off-farm jobs.
Another 17.9 percent of voters expect to become semi-retired. Only 0.7 percent see themselves as fully retired from farming by age 65.
