More than 70 producers across 17 counties from the northern area of the state attended the event.

Producers experienced field demonstrations on paddock development, grazing strategies, weed control, fertilizer use efficiency and hay quality.

They also received information on federal assistance programs, livestock supplementation and hay and cattle marketing.

Demonstrations were part of collaborative programs between local producers, the Chickasaw Extension Office and the Mississippi State Forage Extension Program.

The event included an array of speakers and specialists with the Mississippi State University (MSU) Extension Service.
