Lemken Rubin 10

Lemken introduces Rubin 10 for efficiency and fuel savings

Lemken, global manufacturer and supplier of professional crop cultivation implements for strategic tillage, sowing and planting protection, offers the Rubin 10 high-speed disc for intensive mixing at shallow depths and in difficult soil conditions. A patented symmetrical disc arrangement and rugged construction allow the Rubin 10 to tackle tough fields in a single pass, reducing fuel consumption and increasing tillage efficiency for applications in spring or fall.

The Rubin 10’s 25-inch (64.5-centimeter) concave discs support a working depth up to 5.5 inches (14 centimeters). A wide range of models are available to ensure a precise fit with the customer’s unique operation. The Rubin 10 is available with working widths from 8 feet (2.5 meter) up to 23 feet (7 meters). Depending on model and field conditions, the implement is capable of working speeds up to 10 miles per hour.

A symmetrical disc arrangement eliminates side draft, reducing overlap and the need for corrections when working with GPS. This patented arrangement was cited as one of the distinguishing factors when the implement was named Machine of the Year 2019 at SIMA in Paris. The symmetrical forces deliver excellent penetration and high-acreage performance while saving fuel and completing perfect seedbed prep in a single pass. In addition, the discs are inclined 20 degrees to the soil with a 17-degree angle toward the outside in the front rows and a 15-degree tilt toward center in rear row. This allows for optimum penetration and ensures cultivation over the full working width. To achieve maximum clearance between discs and eliminate blockage in moist and sticky soils, the Rubin 10’s discs are individually attached to a surface-hardened stalk.

To tackle tough soils and high-residue crops, the Rubin 10 uses quarter-inch-thick (0.6 centimeters) hardened and tempered DuraMaXX discs. DuraMaXX discs offer maximum service life and operating time, reducing maintenance costs even in difficult soil conditions. A six-fold cassette sealing protects maintenance-free angular ball bearings from dust and moisture while Lemken’s unique bearing unit design protects the housing from coarse dirt and crop wrapping, further reducing maintenance requirements. Michelin FloatXBib

Michelin introduces tire for self-propelled agricultural spreaders

Making its North American debut at Ag in Motion in Saskatchewan, the Michelin FloatXBib is a dedicated tire solution for self-propelled spreaders for use with a high-load capacity in agricultural applications. Now available in IF 1000/55 R32 CFO size, this is Michelin’s first IF, or increased flexion, CFO flotation tire. An IF tire has the same rolling circumference as the industry-standard radial tire, but it can handle the same weight at up to 20% less air pressure or allow for 20% more load at the same pressure.

The Michelin FloatXBib has an innovative, patent-pending tread design to provide for better yields, greater comfort and increased productivity. The tire protects against soil compaction, reduces plant damage and provides comfort on the road.

In the field, FloatXBib is designed with:

  • Rounded shoulders for vegetation protection
  • Improved stubble resistance and wear
  • Doubled and reinforced shoulder lugs for improved contact patch
  • Reinforced central area with special lug design for improved comfort and speed

On the road, this tire is designed to achieve:

  • Speeds up to 40 mph
  • New casing architecture offers the advantages of Michelin Ultraflex technology
  • Greater wear resistance
  • Innovative rubber compound reduces heat buildup, increasing the speed

WD-40 specialist

WD-40 Company launches WD-40 Specialist non-fling roller chain lubricant for farmers

To meet the needs of more than 3 million farmers working across the nation who must safely lubricate moving equipment and machinery, WD-40 Company is introducing non-fling roller chain lubricant to its WD-40 Specialist line.

WD-40 Specialist roller chain lube won’t attract dirt and lubricates deep into chains and doesn’t fling from the chain during use, even at high revolutions per minute. Its advanced ceramic-reinforced technology – which has superior lubricity and anti-wear properties – protects chains from rust and premature breakage, and penetrates into inner chain links, O-rings, pins, bushings and rollers.

WD-40 Specialist roller chain lube comes with a permanently attached smart straw that sprays two ways – straw up for a pinpoint stream and straw down for wider spray, ensuring users never lose the straw.

WD-40 Specialist roller chain lube is available in stores at Tractor Supply. To learn more, visit the WD-40 website.

John deere equipment

John Deere adds three new products to its Frontier product lineup

John Deere has added three products to its Frontier equipment lineup, including a new rotary tiller portfolio, skid steer carrier adapter and overseeder.

The SA20F skid steer carrier adapter and RT30 gear-driven rotary tillers are directly aimed at property owners and can be used in noncommercial ag applications. In addition, the GS10L ground-driven overseeder is ideal for use by residential homeowners, large property owners, and for commercial residential seeding and overseeding applications.

Frontier’s new RT30 gear-driven rotary tillers easily turn over and mix soil while preparing seedbeds for planting and are compatible with John Deere 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 family tractors. The RT30 series features nine rotary flanges with six tempered boron steel C blades. The extra-large rear bonnet ensures an ideal finish and levels the soil, preventing ridges from forming during each pass.

RT30 gear-driven rotary tillers are available in four sizes: 42, 49, 62 and 73 inches (1.06, 1.24, 1.57 and 1.85 meters), each with adjustable skids and are Category 1 and iMatch compatible.

Another addition to the Frontier lineup is the GS10L ground-driven overseeder that’s built especially for residential, property owner and commercial residential use. An industry exclusive calibration tray can be used to adjust for the desired seeding rate and can save you up to 30 minutes when compared to the competition.

Two sizes are available, a 48-inch (1.22 meter) limited Category 1 and a 60-inch (1.52 meter) limited Category 1 two-seedbox option, equipped with fluted seed cups and an agitator that provides accurate and uniform delivery of turfgrass seeds. The primary seed box can be used for cool-season seeds such as ryegrass, fescue and orchardgrass. The legume box can be used for seeding alfalfa, bermuda and clover. Seed boxes can be engaged or disengaged so any one seed box or all seed boxes can operate. Spiked rollers or concave disks on the unit can be angled for cultivation or for opening and seeding in hard or thatch-covered soil conditions.

The new Frontier tools are now available to order. For more information, visit the website or your local John Deere dealer.  end mark
