Published on 07 April 2014

Nearly half (46.4 percent) of respondents said a seed purchase surcharge would be the way to go. "Tacked onto the beef checkoff program" was the second most popular choice, with 21.4 percent of the votes.

Having research as a budget line item was deemed the best option by 14.3 percent. A twine purchase surcharge and an endowment fund received 10.7 percent and 7.2 percent of the votes, respectively.  FG
