Upcoming virtual crop school

The Utah State University (USU) crops team has partnered with fertilizer researchers from around the West to host a virtual crop school on the evening (6:30-8:30 p.m.) of Jan. 11, 2022, to teach growers and crop advisers about strategies to deal with the doubling of fertilizer prices.

This school will discuss why prices are so high, provide an outlook on the market and delve into strategies for optimizing fertilizer use. Featured speakers will include Alan Blaylock (Nutrien), Rob Mikkelsen (Yara International), Bryan Hopkins (Brigham Young University [BYU]), David Tarkalson (USDA Agricultural Research Service [ARS]-Kimberly), Earl Creech (USU) and Matt Yost (USU). They will offer two certified crop adviser (CCA) credits for nutrient management.
