FG staff Published on 03 June 2010

Don E. Hale, 62, passed away on Thursday, May 28. Hale was a farmer in Blackfoot, Idaho, and a lifetime advocate of agricultural and water issues. In 1995, he served as the founding president of the Idaho Hay and Forage Association and welcomed all growers, no matter the size of their operation, into the membership.

In addition to being active in IHFA, Hale served as watermaster on four local canals, was a member of the Committee of Nine and was on the board of directors for Mitigation, Inc., an organization heavily involved in irrigation issues.
