Historical climatologist Evelyn Browning-Garriss was the keynote speaker, discussing weather developments in the U.S. and internationally over the past several years and offering a forecast for what lies ahead.

Other presentations included information about hay for horses, marketing hay and an update on Roundup Ready alfalfa.

Rollie Bernth of Ward Rugh Inc, Ellensburg, Washington, will serve as the new NHA President. Ron Bradtmuller, Central States Enterprises, Lake City, Florida will serve as 1st Vice President and Stan Steffen, Steffen Hay Company, Silverton, Oregon will serve as 2nd Vice-President.

Richard Larsen, Larsen Farms Hay Terminal, Dubois, Idaho, was awarded the NAH 2010 Haymaker of the Year award.

It was also announced that the National Hay Association Historical Committee has begun work on a project to put together a written history of the organization.
