Video: Hay in Wyoming's Big Horn Basin

Progressive Forage Grower Editor Lynn Jaynes Published on 22 July 2015

Wyoming hay is an easy sell to horse customers, dairy and beef producers alike. The high plains and mountain valleys of Wyoming are close to perfect for high-quality alfalfa and alfalfa-mixed grass production.

Wyoming hay consistently receives top awards at the World Forage Analysis Superbowl, held in Madison, Wisconsin, at World Dairy Expo. In addition, the Big Horn Basin is also known for alfalfa seed production.

This video highlights Wyoming hay production with equipment demonstrations from the 2015 Wyoming Forage Field Day and visits to local hay and seed producers.  FG
